# Configure your iPhone to use mobile data with MTX Connect eSIM

Once your new eSIM is [installed on your iPhone or iPad](https://faq.mtxc.eu/en-us/article/how-to-install-and-configure-the-mtx-esim-on-iphone-1sexrkz/), follow these steps to configure your device.

1. Assign **Mobile Data** to MTX eSIM

||| Important: Disable Mobile Data Switching to prevent potential extra charges on your primary SIM card.

2. Enable **Data Roaming **

3. Switch mobile operator to **auto**

4. Set all 3 **APN** fields to **internet** (all lowercase).

5. **Restart** your mobile (airplane mode is not enough).
