The MTX VoIP Out Beta Subscription feature empowers you to call standard phone numbers globally, right from your internet-enabled devices. It offers the most competitive and transparent pricing, ensuring clear visibility into your communication costs.

The MTX VoIP Out Beta Subscription feature is currently available for iPhone; the Android version is coming soon.

How to Activate MTX VoIP Out Beta Subscription

Download the MTX Connect eSIM for travel App

On your iOS device, follow this link to the MTX Connect eSIM for travel App Store page: https://apps.apple.com/lu/app/mtx-connect-esim-for-travel/id1189100693

Go to the App Store and search for MTX Connect eSIM for travel.



Tap GET.



The MTX Connect eSIM for travel app will be downloaded to your phone.

Activate MTX VoIP Subscription

To enable the MTX VoIP Out Beta Subscription, navigate to the Subscriptions tab on the app's Dashboard and select the MTX VoIP Out Beta Subscription.

Before activating the VoIP Subscription, ensure you've completed the ID verification for your account. For more information, refer to this article: Why do I need to verify my identity?

How To Make A Call

MTX VoIP Out does not support emergency calls and should not be relied upon as a substitute for traditional emergency telephone services; users should establish alternative communication methods for emergencies.

Dial Any Number

Navigate to the Calls tab.



Start dialling the number you wish to call.

Please ensure you enter the phone number in international format, utilizing the prefix "+" or "00" followed by the country code.

The price of the call to the desired number will be displayed as you dial the number.



Tap the Call button.

You will be prompted to allow the application to access the microphone.

Tap Allow.



Your call will start immediately.

Call Your Contacts

With the MTX Connect eSIM for travel app, you can call the contacts you have previously saved to your device.

Navigate to the Calls tab.

You will be prompted to allow the application to access your Contacts.

Tap Allow.



The app will display your contact list.



Select the contact you would like to call.



Tap the line with the phone number you wish to call.



Your call will start immediately.

Reinitiate Your Recent Call

Navigate to the Recents tab.



Select the recent call record you want to reinitiate.



Your call will start immediately.

What number will appear on the screen of the attendee I'm attempting to reach?
The subscriber you call will see a UK (+44) number on his screen.

Can I Choose A Custom Number For The Attendee To See?
No, this option is not currently available.

Can I Request A Callback To This Number?
Unfortunately, this feature is not supported at this time. That's why the feature is named VoIP Out - it currently only supports outgoing calls.

Where Can I Check The History Of My Calling, And How Much Was I Charged For These Calls?
To review your calling history and associated charges, navigate to your Profile within the MTX app and select "View Your Activity." There, you'll find a comprehensive record of your calls and the corresponding charges.

How Is Billing Calculated For Calls?
Billing for calls is calculated on a per-minute basis. Each minute of call time is charged at the applicable rate according to the destination's pricing zone.

Can I Initiate An App-To-App Free Call With Another MTX Connect User?
Currently, initiating an app-to-app free call with another MTX Connect user is impossible. We will certainly add this feature in future releases.

I'm Currently Subscribed To The MTX Connect SMS Mobile Number Service. Can I Utilize The SMS Number for Outgoing Calls As Well?
In short, no. The MTX SMS Mobile Number and VoIP Out are distinct services with separate functionalities. While the SMS Mobile Number service enables you to receive text messages using a dedicated number, it does not extend to making outgoing calls. On the other hand, VoIP Out is specifically designed to make calls to standard phone numbers worldwide. Each service operates independently, serving its unique purpose within the MTX platform.
