Introduction

Enhanced Security is a valuable tool for businesses that want to enhance their online safety and privacy. It serves as an intermediary between the end user’s device and the external internet.

When a mobile user connects to the internet using an MTX Connect for Business SIM card, the user's traffic never leaves the MTX Connect network. All user requests are initially redirected to the MTX Connect secure backbone before entering the internet. As visited network operators route all MTX Connect traffic through its dedicated Access Point Name (APN) and the traffic is encrypted using Enhanced Security tools, neither the visited network operators nor local entities responsible for monitoring and filtering user content can access user data.

How Enhanced Security Helps Users Stay Safe Online

Encryption of Internet Traffic
MTX Connect Enhanced Security encrypts users' internet traffic, making it unreadable to potential attackers or eavesdroppers. This encryption protects sensitive information, such as login credentials, personal data, and financial details, from being intercepted by malicious actors.

Secure Connection on Guest Mobile Networks
When users connect to a guest mobile network, their data can be vulnerable to hackers or eavesdroppers. MTX Connect Enhanced Security creates a secure connection, preventing unauthorized access to users' information.

Anonymous Browsing
MTX Connect Enhanced Security masks users' IP addresses by replacing them with the IP address of the MTX Connect Secure Backbone. This helps anonymize online activities and makes it more difficult for websites, advertisers, and malicious entities to track users across the internet.

Protection from ISP Monitoring
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) can monitor users' online activities. MTX Connect Enhanced Security encrypts the traffic between the user and MTX Connect Secure Backbone, preventing the ISP from easily tracking and logging user behavior.

Preventing Tracking and Targeted Advertising
MTX Connect Enhanced Security can help users avoid being tracked by advertisers and other online entities. By masking the IP address and encrypting internet traffic, MTX Connect Enhanced Security makes it more challenging for advertisers to build detailed profiles of users for targeted advertising.

Protection from Cyber Threats
MTX Connect Enhanced Security provides an additional layer of protection against cyber threats, such as man-in-the-middle attacks. By encrypting data, MTX Connect Enhanced Security makes it difficult for attackers to intercept and manipulate the information exchanged between users and websites.

Avoiding Censorship
In countries with strict internet censorship, MTX Connect Enhanced Security can help users access blocked content and circumvent censorship by routing their traffic through servers located in regions with more liberal online policies.

Securing Online Transactions
MTX Connect Enhanced Security adds an extra layer of security to online transactions by encrypting financial and personal data, protecting users from potential cybercriminals attempting to intercept sensitive information.

Pricing

Enhanced Security is not included in the standard MTX Connect for Business toolkit and is subject to an additional fee.

Typically, the cost of this service consists of two components: a one-time connection fee and a monthly subscription fee. The monthly subscription fee is determined by the number of licenses utilized by the business client of MTX Connect, where each license represents one user within the business account, including team members (super-administrators, administrators, and accountants), as well as subscribers.

Billing

At the beginning of each month, we send detailed invoices to our business clients, outlining the services utilized. If you use the Enhanced Security service, your monthly invoice will include an additional line item for Enhanced Security. This will detail the number of licenses used, the cost per license, and the total cost for the service.

How to Enable Enhanced Security on Your MTX Connect for Business Account

To activate this service, please contact your MTX Connect manager and request the service activation.

After finalizing the commercial terms and making the connection fee payment, the service will be provisioned within 7 business days.

How to Check if Enhanced Security is Enabled on Your Business Account

If Enhanced Security is enabled on your business account, you will see the Enhanced Security icon in the top right corner of any portal page, overlaying the MTX Connect logo.
