What is an eSIM and how is it different from a regular SIM?

4. Any downsides?

- Operator support
While 260+ carriers now offer eSIM, some local operators still provide plastic SIMs only.
- Profile limit
Most phones can store 5–8 eSIM profiles, with up to two active at the same time.
5. How do I install an MTX Connect eSIM?
- Check your device supports eSIM.
- Purchase the MTX Connect plan you want.
- You’ll receive a QR code / activation code (it contains the SM-DP+ address).
- On your device, open Settings › Mobile / Cellular › Add eSIM and follow the instructions on screen.
- Assign the new profile for data, calls, or both — you can rename it (e.g. “MTX Travel EU”).
- Add / switch / delete profiles anytime in the same menu.
