There are several ways to install the MTX Connect eSIM to your iPhone, you can choose the Automatic Activation in the MTXC app for a fast and seamless eSIM installation, or you can use the QR code scanning installation.

Before you start, be sure that:

you have a reliable and strong internet connection
your iPhone is carrier unlocked and eSIM capable
it is recommended to have the latest iOS version installed to your phone

| You can find out if your iPhone is locked by going to Settings > General > About. If "No SIM restrictions" appears next to Carrier Lock, your iPhone is unlocked.

Automatic eSIM installation directly from the MTXC app:

After a successful purchase, select Next: eSIM setup
Tap on Activate Automatically
Follow on-screen instructions

Install the MTX Connect eSIM using the QR code:

Go to Settings.
Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.
Tap Add Cellular Plan (or Add eSIM)
Select Use QR Code
Scan the QR code and follow further on-screen instructions.

What is automatic payment?

Automatic payment is a convenient option provided by MTX Connect, allowing you to automatically pay monthly invoices for roaming communication services using pre-authorized credit or debit cards.

How are invoices generated?

Invoices are issued monthly for the previous month and reflect the quantity and cost of data consumed by all your eSIM and SIM cards.

How to pay an invoice with a credit card?

When paying a new invoice, you have two options: select a previously saved card or add a new one. Read this help article for more information about invoice payments.

How to save a card for future payments?

You have the option to save a card in two different methods.

Method 1

When paying with a new card, select both checkboxes, "Save this card for future payments" and "Authorize card for future automatic payments." After completing the payment, the card will be saved and authorized for automatic payments in the future.

Method 2

You can authorize a previously saved card for automatic payments at any time in the "Settings" section.

Navigate to "Settings" > "Payment Information"
Select the desired card
Check "Authorize card for future automatic payments" checkbox.

Manually set up Access Point Name (APN) on your iPhone

Most iPhones with iOS up to date will normally retrieve the settings for using internet from the SIM or receive these automatically via the network.

It is also possible to set up your iPhone manually for internet.

| This guide is using iPhone X and iOS 12 as an example.

Go to the Start screen. Choose Settings.
Scroll down. Choose Cellular.
If Cellular Data is disabled, enable Cellular Data.
Choose Cellular Data Options. If Data Roaming is disabled, enable Data Roaming.
Choose Cellular Data Network.
Edit the details for MOBILE DATA as follows:

Under APN, enter internet
Under Username, enter nothing.
Under Password, enter nothing.

Edit the details for PERSONAL HOTSPOT in the same way as at previous step.
Return to the Cellular menu.
Return to the Start screen. To finish the process and activate the settings, you need to restart the device. Your iPhone X will then be configured to use mobile internet.

Choose Mobile networks.
Choose Access Point Names.
Choose ADD.

Under Name, enter internet.
Under APN, enter internet.
Leave all the remaining fields blank.

Choose the options symbol and then choose Save.
Tick internet.
Return to the Start screen.
To finish the process and activate the settings, you need to restart the device. Android phone will then be configured to use mobile internet.
